Robert E. Whitton, PT
Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Whitton founded Whitton, Boutros & Associates in 1981 and in the ensuing years has expanded the outpatient business to presently include 13 centers throughout the metro Detroit area.  In 1988, because of national expansion, the company's name changed to TheraMatrix.

Mr. Whitton holds a BS in psychology and is also a licensed physical therapist.  He has 18 years of experience in physical therapy start-up projects and operations along with 17 years of experience in on-site physical rehabilitation programs for industry.

Robert G. Read
President/COO

Bob Read joined TheraMatrix from the private sector as a Health Care Consultant.  In that position he was responsible for marketing and developing physical medicine and rehabilitation services.  Prior to his work in the private sector he was the Director of Rehabilitation & Performance Therapy & Specialist Programs, at Concentra, Inc., in Bingham Farms, Michigan, wherein he developed new business and external sales and marketing plans.  Bob has been in the health care field since 1987, having worked for the Chrysler Corporation as the Health Services Administrator, and for the Rehab Institute of Michigan as the Director of Occupational Rehab Services.  Bob brings new challenges to the TheraMatrix staff.    Bob did his Graduate work at Central Michigan University, and he received his undergraduate degree in Human Resource Development from Oakland University.  During his off hours Bob enjoys coaching and playing soccer.

Steve Piotrowski
Vice President Clinical Operations

Steve comes to TheraMatrix with over 25 years of experience in the outpatient rehabilitation field, most recently from HCR Manor Care - Heartland Rehabilitation.  Steve has experience in business development, sales & marketing, fiscal, strategic and operations leadership, as well as managing multi-site operations.  In his role with TheraMatrix, Steve is primarily responsible for the company’s thirteen outpatient physical therapy locations managing and directing daily and long term operations.  He is also responsible for managing and directing the company’s outpatient physical therapy clinic business development, sales & marketing, personnel and strategies.

Steve is a graduate of Ferris State University with post bachelorette work at Central Michigan University.  He resides in Troy with his wife and three children.

John J. Hartig
Chief Financial Officer

John has over 25 years of experience in finance and operations including domestic and international mergers and acquisitions. Prior to joining TheraMatrix John worked with Tier I automotive suppliers, was a senior consultant in restructurings, did acquisitions and ran a German machine manufacturer.

John has a BSBA from The Ohio State University.

John enjoys music, theatre and travel.

Mark E. Azar, SPHR
Human Resources Director

Mark has over 12 years of experience in Human Resources, with the majority in healthcare.  Mark has been in his current role with TheraMatrix since 2006.  Prior to joining TheraMatrix, he was in various human resources roles with Blue Care Network, HCR ManorCare and the County of St. Clair. 

Mark has significant experience recruiting healthcare professionals, compensation and benefits and employee and labor relations.  Mark has a B.S. and Graduate Certificate in Human Resources from Central Michigan University and is certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources through the Society for Human Resources Management.

Lucy Andrews
Director of Health Services

Lucy has been with TheraMatrix Physical Therapy Network (TPTN) since September 2005.  Lucy graduated from nursing school in Virginia in 1996 and participated in the Leadership and Management Training Program at Xavier University in 2002.  She currently manages all Utilization Review, Case Management and Quality Improvement functions for TPTN.  Prior to joining our organization, Lucy was the Utilization Review Nurse Supervisor at United Medical Resources in Cincinnati, OH, where she was instrumental in assisting the company in obtaining URAC accreditation in Utilization Management.  Lucy has an extensive nursing background and has been exclusively in managed care for the last eight years.

 

Joseph B. Moton
Director of Provider and Member Relations

Joseph, a 15-year veteran in the healthcare industry, is the Director of Provider and Member Relations for TheraMatrix Physical Therapy Network.  In this position, Joseph is responsible for managing the day to day infrastructure and reporting activities that support Network Development and Provider and Member Relations. 

Having worked in hospital systems, insurance plans, and administrative service organizations, Joseph has a successful track record for establishing and maintaining medical service networks to insure access to medical care for patients throughout the United States. 

Joseph received his Bachelor of Arts degree in business management from Siena Heights University in Adrian, Michigan.  In addition, Joseph is a member of the National Association of Occupational Health Professionals, and he is certified as a physical ability test administrator for Advanced Ergonomics, Inc. 

A native Detroiter, Joseph is married to Tracy L. Moton.  They attend Second Ebenezer Church in Detroit, MI.  In his leisure time, Joseph enjoys sports, music and theatre.  

 

Edward G. Raschke
Administrative Consultant

Edward G. Raschke, Administrative Consultant: Ed has been with TheraMatrix since 1991.  During his tenure with TheraMatrix he has held the position of Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer.  Ed has been instrumental in streamlining the accounting and auditing systems.  Currently, Ed has the position of Administrative Consultant on special projects.  Ed attended Walsh College and brings to TheraMatrix tremendous experience in management and accounting practices.

Jeri Thomas Nally
Executive Administrative Assistant

Jeri Thomas Nally joined Theramatrix in November 2003 with over twenty years of administrative experience. She is the Executive Administrative Assistant to the CEO and the President/COO. She also lends support to other executive staff members in the company, including:  the CFO, VP of Clinical Operations and Human Resources Director.
