Letter from the President/COO October, 2007
The last couple of years have been marked with unsurpassed growth and change in the health care industry. The challenges are greater and require innovative and unique solutions. TheraMatrix has proven its ability to develop and implement solutions to these challenges.
As TheraMatrix moves into its 27th year in business, our commitment is to continue to be recognized as a leader in this industry. Our commitment is to maintain our high level of quality, integrity, ethics and focus on customer service while providing solutions that meet the needs of our customers. Some highlights are listed below:
- In April of 2006, CMS conducted an on-site audit of TheraMatrix and re-certified TheraMatrix as a Certified Rehab Agency, the highest certification available. As the CMS auditor left, he commented that he hoped that all of the Agencies were as complete and compliant as TheraMatrix.
- In December of 2005, TheraMatrix expanded by opening two outpatient physical therapy clinics: Clinton Township and Dearborn Heights. Both facilities were granted certified rehab status by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), in July, 2007.
- On August 1, 2007, TheraMatrix Physical Therapy Network (TPTN) was granted a three year contract extension with the UAW and Ford Motor Company as the benefit administrator for its Salaried, Hourly, Active and Retiree outpatient physical therapy benefit. This one-of-a-kind program, outpatient physical therapy carve-out program has proven to save millions of dollars while maintaining a patient satisfaction rating in excess of 97%!
- After a 14 month interruption of service, all thirteen TheraMatrix physical therapy clinics are once again in-network providers for all BCBSM Traditional and PPO Plans. Effective August 1, 2007, BCSBM patients again have access to the high quality and respectful care TheraMatrix has been known for since 1981.
We at TheraMatrix are proud of our contribution to our industry and to the community. We remain passionate about our customers, products and staff and will meet all challenges head on. Our commitment to the development and implementation of innovative products and services that provide solutions to the current health care challenges remain as strong as ever. You can count on it.
